It is the only catalogue covering this area in English, published in a single volume. As well as the major countries, this volume includes those territories which now form independent entities and postal authorities following the break-up of the former territory of Yugoslavia. In addition to mainland Greece, Epirus, Crete and other islands are included, as are Trieste, Venezia Giulia and Istria. The UN issues for Kosovo are included. New issues for most territories are included to the autumn/winter 2008. Booklets are listed for Albania, Croatia, Greece, Sarajevo Govt., Slovenia and Yugoslavia.; New design indexes are now included for Croatia, Greece and Slovenia. A number of new varieties have been added, and these are noted at the beginning of the volume. Prices have been thoroughly revised, and of course there are many increases, especially in the early classics etc. The publisher has taken the opportunity afforded by converting almost all the twentieth century issues to colour, to rescan many on the stamp images. The nineteenth century and most pre world- war one issues are still in black and white.; The catalogue has been set in the now familiar three-column format, sans serif font, and the whole is printed on good quality non-glare stock. |
